I've kind of stalled out on The Raven Queen, as all the background is a bit of a slog. Here's where I left off several days ago:
I was able to finish the sixth and final Mill Hill Owlet:
These little guys and gals were so fun to work on; I'm thinking of making some more with different colors, or possibly try to make them look like Halloween ornaments.
Speaking of Halloween, my favorite needle minder seller, Gina, had her Halloween sale a few weeks ago, and I received my order last week:
Between these new minders and the cool weather we've had the past couple of days, I'm starting to get the Halloween-stitching bug; the only cure is to stitch a Halloween design!
Hope everyone has a great stitchy week!
When I feel a stitching slump coming I start a new project - it helps against the slump but maybe not my pile of WIPs ha ha!
ReplyDeleteRaven Queen looks fantastic, but yes, maybe switch to a small Halloween design to refresh our stitchy bug? The owlets look great!
ReplyDeleteSorry you're stitchy bug is on vacation; I hope it returns soon! Raven Queen is looking great, and those owlets are adorable. Pretty new needleminders! Maybe a new Halloween project will get you out of your slump.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing :). They look great! I love your needleminders especially the haunted house.
ReplyDeleteWow owls are very very lovely :-) so cute
ReplyDeleteRaven queen is a beautiful lady so magic.
I hope to stitch very soon. I went on holiday in mountain. Ciao.
Raven Queen is looking good.
ReplyDeleteMaybe after your son goes back to school you can pick it up again.
The little Owls are all so cute.
Gina's needleminders are so cute, love the house.

Raven Queen is looking pretty as usual. Too bad about the stitching slump, I'm sure it will come back soon. I love your Wednesday Adams needle minder. I have similar ones from Gina but of the Disney princesses.
ReplyDeleteI usually have a little stitchy slump in the summer. I recommend a small new start, maybe a Halloween one seeing as that's what you're drawn to, and using one of your new needleminders. I really love them, especially the key ones. I love my "stitchy bug" one that you kindly sent me and am using it on my current WIP.
ReplyDeleteYour owls are so bright and cheerful and I love Raven Queen and the small changes you made, but if your heart's not in it at the moment you need a new start!
Hi I just stumbled across your Raven Queen and find it to be absolutely stunning. Was wondering if you're u still have her conversion. I would love to use your style. It is absolutely stunning. Email@woodfamily87@yahoo.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I sent you an email, but if for some reason it doesn't show up let me know; thanks!
DeleteYou tamed the owls just great!
