I did make a start on the anniversary piece, which has a beautiful blue palette but is going to get pretty repetitive with the border:
I managed to get the stitching done on the next two birthstone designs, but don't have the beads to finish them. To save on shipping from Canada I'm waiting until a couple more are released, and the last time I ordered it took five weeks to get here, so I'm guessing it will be a while before I get back to these!
This past week I noticed that Mill Hill had released six new Laurel Burch kits, dogs this time, and I just had to order them. Of course, I already have the six cat kits, so I pulled one out and made a start on it; this one is called Feathered Friend:
Hope everyone has a great stitchy weekend!
Lovely progress on everything and I have times like that too, when I'm not interested enough in something to put much time into it at once. I'm having one of those currently actually. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching the bird is so vibrant!
ReplyDeleteThe Sampler will be pretty with the blue colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to stitch the Birthstones on 1 piece of fabric.
Cute cats!

I love the colours on the anniversary piece. I too find it very difficult to stitch pieces that are too repetitive though...it's just so boring lol:)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful start and progresses.
ReplyDeleteI'm stitching but it's a period that I have no time for me so I made little progresses. Ciao
You're waiting to save on shipping from Canada lol It's totally the reverse for me. I'm constantly trying to save one shipping from the US :P
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on everything Mel. It's a shame your birthstones will have to wait so long for the beads but it will give us something to look forward to. :)
ReplyDeleteThe anniversary start looks lovely. Love the cats start, so fun.
ReplyDeleteFantastic stitching. I didn't know about the Laurel Burch dogs, I'll definitely have to find those. :)
ReplyDeleteYou will tame the anniversary project in no time.
