A bad case of start-itis!

I mailed the models back to Wichelt early last week, and I've been going a bit nuts trying to figure out what to stitch on for myself! I started with Miss Solar Ellipse, on Ophelia Belfast from Under the Sea Fabrics:

Then I was putting some things away and came across Vervaco's Autumn Fairy, which took me several years to find, and I decided to pull it out and finally make a start, on a piece of SW Harvest Belfast:

Finally, I put the tree up last week and put out some decorations, which include a couple of Mill Hill beaded designs, and I got an urge to start a Christmas design. That very day I had received an order from 123Stitch which included a Mill Hill kit, so I started that!

I think I'll try to stick with the snow globe and see if I can get it done by Christmas, though I still have to get the presents wrapped and get some cleaning done, so stitching time will be a bit limited.

Speaking of Christmas, I have an adorable needle minder to give away as a thank you to all who spend time reading my blog:

All you have to do is leave a comment that you'd like to be entered, and on Christmas day I'll draw a winner, and I'll mail to anywhere in the world. Then be sure to check back and contact me if you're the winner (I'll leave my email address in the post), as I might not be able to get your contact info from your profile.

Wishing everyone all the best of the holiday season!

  4. Ooh I like startitis! Especially when it's someone else adding to their WIP list and not me. Miss Solar Eclipse is looking gorgeous and I absolutely love the fabric you've chosen for Autumn. That's a lovely needleminder but I have received one from you in the past so I'll pass this time. Always a pleasure to visit your blog!

  7. I would love to be entered! I just spent the past few days looking over all your posts and am inspired by your stitching and journeys to retreats (it has now become a life goal of mine to attend a retreat in Italy!). I also loved meeting all your furbabies! In stitching circles I am known as the maiden, and am one third of the trio Maiden, Mother Crone. Looking forward to seeing more post, it's a dying art as so many have switched over to instagram!

  8. I love the needle minder. He reminds of a cross between a baby and teenage dragon. He/she is a cutie. I love your list of slain WIPS.

  9. I started Miss Solar Ellipse too after seeing your beautiful model stitch. I've never been fast enough to get a claybykim needleminder so I'm grateful you're giving us the opportunity. Thanks for all of your blog posts, they always make my day.

  10. New starts are always fun. I have had two this month, luckily I finished one quite quickly. Your new patterns are lovely. I'd really love to be included in your giveaway, if I'm not too late.

    Merry Christmas!

  11. Great new starts! I'm a bit sad to be behind with blog reading so much as that reader was adorable, but I'm sure he has found a loving new home by now :)
