A Stitcher's Frustration!

I'm sure other stitchers can relate to this: last Thursday I would have been able to finish Faerie Summer Love, EXCEPT that I ran out of the Kreinik for the wings! And of course, there is none to be found locally, so I have to wait until today or tomorrow for some to arrive in the mail. :( Meanwhile, FSL looks like this:

Fingers crossed that the Kreinik arrives today!

In the meanwhile, I was able to assuage my frustration a bit by finally getting back to Mirabilia's Red, which I had started on New Year's Day, and then put away until now. Here is what I did the first day:

And here she is as of last night:

The fabric is Rainforest, on Belfast, from Enchanted Fabrics. I really think that if I HAD to choose a favorite Mirabilia, this one might be it. Hoping to get a lot more done this week.

Hope everyone has a great stitchy week!

  1. Oh my word Melanie! She is stunning. I much prefer her in the colours you have converted her too. Wow, wow, wow! Is there any chance of you sharing your conversion for her please? Pretty please?

    1. There are only three colors in the dress, so it was an easy change: 500 to 718, 991 to 3804 and 958 to 3805. HTH!

  4. Beautiful stitching Melanie. I know how it sucks to be within just a few inches of finishing a project and then to run out of thread and/or beads.

  5. I am with you on the Kreinik! I am stitching the second wing right now and I had the same thought, uh, oh, I am going to run out of Kreinik! But I am hoping I don't. FSL looks great!!! And so does Red.

    1. I had two outstanding orders last week, from 123Stitch and Needlecraft Corner, so I actually added a spool of Kreinik to each order, thinking one would get here faster. Of course, they both arrived the same day!
